Need to Know

  • • Fees are payable per day per person.
  • • If you stay overnight in a rest camp, you pay per night.
  • • Day visitors must pay upon entry at the gates.
  • • Children under 2 years old enter for free.
  • • A conservation fee is not accommodation - you still book and pay for camps separately.
  • • SANParks gate-only activities: no separate conservation fee. Day visit before/after the drive: normal fee applies.

The Wild Card Pro Tip

If you plan to spend more than 5-6 days in Kruger (or any combined SANParks reserves) within a year, it is often significantly cheaper to purchase a Wild Card.

The Wild Card offers unlimited entry for one full year for eligible holders. It is available for individuals, couples, and traveling families - and does not cover lodging.

SANParks drives from gates

Morning, sunset, and night drives booked with SANParks that depart from an entrance gate (for example Phabeni, Kruger Gate, or Crocodile Bridge) are priced so guests do not pay a separate daily conservation fee - if the guided activity is all you do.

If you also enter as a day visitor before or after that drive (self-drive, picnic, camp visit), the normal SA / SADC / international conservation fee applies for that day. Confirm at the gate when you check in - practice can vary by booking channel.

  • • Gate activity only = activity fee; no extra conservation fee under SANParks gate-activity pricing.
  • • Gate activity + day visit the same day = conservation fee on top.
  • • These gate drives are aimed at visitors staying outside the park (e.g. Hazyview, Marloth Park), not overnight camp guests.

Might be subject to change. We do not guarantee any costs.
